In history, Dongshi once "merchants gathered", with several kilometers of green slate streets and lanes, and all over the street shops. In its heyday, the bamboo rows of the Maxi River were hundreds of thousands, winding for miles. Because of the special historical status of Anhua black tea in Hunan Province, the special significance of the Anhua Tea-Horse Road has been created. In the ancient town of Huangshaping, Anhua, on the ancient road, there were more than 40000 tea workers and more than 80 tea numbers in the Ming and Qing dynasties. On the other side of the river, there were tens of thousands of tea workers and more than 20 tea numbers in Tang Town. At that time, 70% of China's black tea was produced in these two ancient tea towns.
