Honghe County Government is located in the ancient city of Ma Gang Yisa, which is one of the three major hometowns of overseas Chinese in Yunnan Province. The architectural style is mainly a combination of Chinese and Western. At present, there are more than 150 ancient residential buildings with a construction area of 71859 square meters, of which 18 single buildings are one of the national key cultural relics protection units, located in Dongmen Street, Honghe County, covering an area of 9900 square meters. The ancient building complex includes the landmark building East Gate Building, Yao Chuji Residential Building, Yao Chuji Backyard, Qian Erguan Residential Building, Qian Erguan Backyard, Qian Erguan Annex Building and 12 private residential buildings. Most of the ancient city dwellings were built in the Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China, with a history of nearly 100 years. It has the reputation of "Jiangwai Architecture Grand View Garden" and "Border Architecture Museum. 2011 included in the provincial historical and cultural street, is the only mountain city in Yunnan Province. The ancient city of Ma Gang buildings are typically represented by the combination of Chinese and Western dwellings in Yao Chu and the traditional maze compound in Qian Erguan. The courtyard house of Yao Chu's residence is connected with Dongmen Tower. Construction began in 1937. After 7 years, it was completed in 1944. It covers an area of 584 square meters and a construction area of 980 square meters. Its house is a Chinese and Western-style three-story three-entry courtyard racing corner building with tile roof brick wall. Its appearance is like a square bunker. Its surrounding brick-covered soil foundation wall and balcony are equipped with defensive shooting holes, it is firm and stable, elegant and compact. The decorative pattern on the top of the gate is based on the architectural style of Britain, France and other countries, with three-dimensional graphics such as "clock" and "ten" characters. There is no color painting and it is whitewashed with gray cement ditches. The architectural pattern is horizontal to the patio and the wing rooms on both sides. The five rooms in the inverted hall are lower than the patio, and the three ears in the main hall, the overall style of the house is mainly French, but the internal architecture is Chinese architectural style. Qian Erguan's labyrinth brick arch compound is the first outside the river. The whole building does not use a steel bar. It has a total of 8 patios, 44 rooms and 188 doors and windows. It extends in all directions like a maze. Its main architectural features are window arches, door arches and flat buildings. The whole building not only has the architectural style of the Central Plains at that time, but also has the style of Jiangnan architecture, and at the same time, it is an organic combination of a variety of architectural styles, showing the inclusive thinking and innovative spirit of Honghe people. According to the overall planning of Mabang ancient city scenic spot in Honghe County, many infrastructure facilities of 4A tourist scenic spot are not perfect, the functional supporting facilities are insufficient, and the cultural atmosphere of the scenic spot is not strong. The county people's government strives to promote the construction of the Ma Gang Cultural Agricultural Special Products Exhibition Center Project, the Ma Gang Cultural Block Project, the Entrance Service Area Project, and the 1#2# Road Project. The total construction area of the three projects is about 78000 square meters, mainly including tourist distribution, supporting commerce, B & B inn, parking lot, leisure square, landscape greening, lighting, road greening, landscape sketch and cultural entertainment. Among them, the construction of the entrance service area project, the 1#2# road project and the agricultural special products exhibition center project have been completed, and the installation of 1360 landmark street lamps for the horse gang, the paving of bluestone pavement on the internal roads of the scenic spot and the greening of the landscape on both sides have been completed. The construction of the Ma Gang cultural block project is about to be completed. After the completion of the project, it will greatly improve the comprehensive service capacity of the Ma Gang ancient city scenic spot, the ability to receive tourists, and improve the greening rate of the scenic spot, so as to speed up the construction of the green beauty scenic spot.

The scenic spot is mainly operated and managed by Honghe County Tourism Development Investment Co., Ltd. It has successfully applied for Grade 3A scenic spot on April 10, 2020. At present, it is gradually improving the basic supporting facilities of Grade 4A scenic spot. In order to improve the pass rate of Grade 4A work, it has signed a service contract with Yunnan Huanyao Prince Tourism Culture Communication Co., Ltd. to cooperate with the county tourism investment company to complete the work of Grade 4A.
